AFTER FOREVER Issues Statement On EARTHSHAKER ROADSHOCK Tour Cancellation

Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal outfit AFTER FOREVER has issued the following statement regarding the cancellation of the Earthshaker Roadshock tour — featuring FINNTROLL, TAROT, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, AFTER FOREVER, MACHINE MEN and ALL ENDS — following last night's concert (May 4) in Nürnberg, Germany:

"We are very sorry and disappointed to let you know the Earthshaker Roadshock tour has been cancelled by the organization Metallysee after the Nürnberg show. This organization simply ruined the whole tour themselves by very bad financial planning and a bad production. Bands were treated very bad, not being paid and not being cared for, tour buses and drivers weren't paid, backline was not rented...and so on and on.

"Despite all the work of the various band members, managements and record labels to let this tour continue things didn't work out and Metallysee just pulled the plug.

"To make things clear, this is not to blame on the Earthshaker festival, since they also tried to make the best out of it, but unfortunately Metallysee had all the responsibility.

"The bands ended this too short tour by a very energetic set...to keep up all the positive energy and get rid of all the negative.

"At the moment we're still trying to figure out possibilities to pick up some of these shows which were planned for the end of the tour, but we can't promise you anything.

"We wanna thank all the bands and crew for their great job, especially since Metallysee made their and our work so hard. We had fun after all...but it could have been so much more! We hope to see you all in the near future!

"Again we wanna apologize to all the fans who already bought their ticket...we will make it up to you all very soon! Especially since some really cool new gigs are about to be announced...so stay tuned!!!"

A 14-minute video clip of AFTER FOREVER performing in Hamburg, Germany on April 29 has been posted at Google Video.

As previously reported, AFTER FOREVER's "Energize Me" single has climbed from position No. 95 to No. 65 on the Dutch chart. The band's video for "Energize Me" has been posted online at YouTube.com. The clip was shot in February in Amsterdam, Holland. The "Energize Me" single was released on March 23, featuring the songs "Energize Me" (radio edit),"Energize Me" (album version),"Sweet Enclosure" (non-album track).

AFTER FOREVER will embark on a North American tour in October.
